QuestionsCategory: Stock ScreeningIdentifying Growth Stocks
kauyong asked 4 months ago
Hi, unlike dividend stocks where there is abundant public information and historical data. I find it tough to come up with a shortlist of growth stocks whereby investing is not a full time job for me. I want to filter out speculative news and not invest in meme stocks. In this case, is there a reputable website or first port of call when your team is sourcing out new potential growth stocks? For instance, if I'm not in the pharmaceutical industry, most of the time the price is already inflated when I read the public news.

Hi Kauyong,

You can find out more about how we screen for investment ideas here: https://alphaquadrant.com/lessons/investment-ideas/

My personal preference is to use a stock screener to filter for companies with revenue growth of more than 5% and gross margins above 20%. After getting the screening results, I will then go through the companies individually.

Alternatively, with AI tools available now, you can simply write a prompt and ask the AI to search for companies that meet those criteria.
