Hi Victor, It's really time consuming to go through multi-years financial reports to get the data into the spreadsheet. I have happened to come across these 2 data which is a paid service which I think it's quite reasonable. Plan1: $14.95/mth or $179.40/yr Plan2: $29.95/mth or $359.40/yr Pls see the attached screen-shots which list out what is provided.

There is another vendor offering GAAP data-set at a slightly cheaper subscription rate. Do you think it's better to get the data-set from vendor1 as its data is normalized (or adjusted)?

I can’t see your screenshot. Please send it to [email protected] for me to review.

We do use a data provider to collect the financial data, as you mentioned. I generally work with the raw data from the provider and make my own adjustments for exceptional items—I don’t rely on their adjusted figures. The provider we use is S&P Capital IQ, though I’m not sure why your plan is so much cheaper; ours costs around $20,000 per year.

Hi Daniel,

Tikr is a third-party platform that purchases financial data from Capital IQ and resells it to retail investors. While it may not be as comprehensive as Capital IQ, I believe it is sufficient for retail investors.

Victor, thanks for the reply.
As most if not all of us (except people in Fifth Person) are not doing financial analysis full-time, one of the challenges is to go through all the financial reports to gather the necessary financial data for the financial quadrant analysis (not to mention reading through past financial reports to understand the business/management and doing the valuation).
So I guess any opportunity to be cut down the time is necessary.
I do agree with you that the adjustments provided should still need to be checked manually for comparison in order not to miss out something.
I am also working on using AI to assist in doing qualitative analysis.
I hope this discussion here will help our fellow AQ members who are facing similar time constraints.
